Why I am Documenting My SEO Journey
Writing and publishing my SEO journey hasn’t any particular reason. Right now, I’m standing at the beginning of my SEO journey, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, expensive courses, and so-called "experts" promising overnight success.
I'm not here to sell you a course or claim I've cracked the SEO code.
I'm here because I'm learning SEO from scratch, and I want to document every step, every mistake, and every small win along the way.
The Problem with Most SEO Content
Looking at online, most SEO content online falls into two categories, either written by experts who’ve forgotten what it’s like to be complete beginners, or it’s written by marketers trying to sell their expensive courses or tools.
The middle ground is people sharing an actual learning or actual strategy are almost rare.
When I was in my initial days, I started with online content and if I look back, most of the content is either impossibly complex or suspiciously simple. Some of them worked, some didn’t.
Why Document This Journey?
I'm documenting my SEO journey for three simple reasons.
First, accountability. When you put your progress online, you're more likely to stay consistent. Knowing that someone might be following along keeps me from giving up when things get tough.
Second, to help beginners avoid the mistakes I'm making. SEO has a steep learning curve, and many beginners fall into the same traps. By sharing my failures openly, you can skip ahead and save yourself time and frustration.
Third, to create the resource I wish existed when I started. A transparent, no-BS account of what it actually takes to learn and implement SEO. Not theory, not case studies from successful sites, just real experience from someone in the trenches.
What You Can Expect
This isn't going to be pretty. I'll share strategies that flop, keywords that don't rank, and content that gets zero traffic. But I'll also share what works, backed by real data from my own website.
You'll see my actual progress reports, the tools I'm testing, the time I'm investing, and the results I'm getting. Everything will be transparent because that's the only way this is valuable.
I'm not claiming to know the secrets to ranking on Google. I'm claiming to be in the same boat as you, paddling hard and figuring it out as I go.
Learning Together
If you're a beginner trying to understand SEO without spending thousands on courses, stick around. If you're tired of gurus and want to see what real, ground-level SEO learning looks like, this is for you.
We're going to make mistakes together. We're going to celebrate small wins together. And hopefully, by the end of this journey, we'll both understand SEO well enough to build something real.
No fluff. No false promises. Just one learner's honest journey through the messy world of search engine optimization.
Let's figure this out together.
